Go is a simple capture-the-pieces-to-control-the-board game (I believe) from
China. It's played on a grid. Stones are placed on the intersections of the
grid. Two colors (Black and White traditionally) are used. The object is to
surround stones of the opposite color on all possible intersections so that
no connecting stone can be placed. If stones are trapped, they are removed
from the board and a hole remains. The process of taking board is done by
capturing pieces, but the end-goal is to control as much of the board as
possible.
