Your comments about repetition make me think of minimalist music (Philip
Glass, Tangerine Dream,etc.)
Also : if you watch a snail when it is not in motion (ie. moving in any
direction), its flesh ripples, while it sits in place. Music that goes
nowhere may still have a rippling flesh.
