L. Reed Altemus III BIO- January 1993
Born in Philadelphia Pennsylvania, 1961. Lived in Maine 16+ years.
B.A. English 1985 Bates College. Worked in libraries and offices.
Correpondence art and copier art 1990-1992. Travelled to
England October 1992 as part of the Decentralized Worldwide
Networker Congress. Effected two networked art information
projects 1992- July "Telenetlink Congress", November, " The
Computer Is Not Sorry". Working on Masters in Library and
Information Studies, University of Rhode Island. Member of
Electronic Frontier Foundation and Boston Computer Society.
Project in progress- bibliographic database of copier art and
electrographic technology. Interested in artists who build
databases, retrospective views of copier art, relation between
art, science and technology, automation of the EMS environment
for networking as art.
