school additions ever actually constructed by students?

(sorry, couldn't get this message to andy directly due to mailer problems)
(if not interested, please delete)

dear andy b.,

read your message to ian over the design-l network list.
you said "the grad. program here is currently beginning construction of an
additioin that was designed and presented solely on CAAD." can you tell
me if you mean the grad. program is having this additon constructed OR
if the grad program itself is doing the construction utilizing students,
etc. was teh CAAD work done by students/faculty there OR are you saying
that some archetectural firm used their own CAAD and designed and presented
the work, and then some contractor is now building the sucker. ???????
i'd like to know more about the whole thing IF the graduate program's own
faculty/students/etc were actually involved in the work. if that is the
case, then this indicates cost efficient solutions for additions to schools
everywhere that are shy of financial resources to carry on such projects.

please respond directly to me. thanks.
