The Council of Planning Librarians, an international organization of
librarians involved in planning, development, transporation, historic
preservation, and environmental issues related to land use, produces
bibliographies on subjects pertaining to planning and related fields.
The CPL Bibliography Series is published by the American Planning
Association and is marketed both on a subscription basis and as
single copies. Its aim is to facilitate access to information
needed by students, researchers, and practitioneres, and to meet the
educational and professional development needs of information providers.
Some topics that might be considered include:
Edge Cities Sustainable Development
Disaster Recovery Planning Legal Education for Citizen Planners
Economic Renewal Site Planning/Developmental Disabilities
Habitat Conservation Plans Gambling and Historic Preservation
Neighborhood Planning Innovation in Planning/Financing Open Space
Presentation Graphics Local Planning for Wetlands Preservation
Transportation Management Managing Growth Impacts on Public Facilities
Does Development Pay? Wastewater Systems for Cluster Development
Farmland Protection Industrial Performance Standards
Tax Incentives Return on Public Infrastructure Models
Working with Consultants Planning and Minority Communities
Using CIP in Planning Planning Needs of Large-Scale Regions
Compensation for an accepted bibliography is a $200 honorarium and
five complimentary copies of the published work.
