outstanding educators, professionals and researchers in Graphics which will
give keynote lectures or present papers reviewing, presenting a state of
the art, discussing future directions or reporting new results on their
fields. It will be open to contributors from all ranks and from over the world.
The conferences will not be merely 'computer graphics' meetings but truly
all-encompassing events on all aspects and sub-areas of Graphics.

In the interest of all participants, the registration fees have been set
as low as possible. The organization has made very careful estimates in order
to avoid unnecessary overloads. The charges are not only way under what is
practiced in the majority of other related events (take a look at
Eurographics '93 and Siggraph '93 - and we don't have that kind of background
financial support !), but also represent a good bargain for they apply
simultaneously to the two conferences. A pre-conference tutorial, entitled
"Fundamentals of Computational Graphics and Visualization ", is planned.
Information and program sent on request.
Registration fees, in Portuguese Escudos, include reception, coffee breaks,
the conference banquet and the proceedings. Registrants will be free to
attend sessions and lectures of the two events at their will. The deadline

The Alvor hotels (Alvor Praia and Delfim) are located near the village of
Alvor (2 kms), in one of the best places in Algarve (south of Portugal). The
beaches are fabulous and the weather is great even in December ! Main
distances (kilometers) : Lisbon - 280, Faro (airport) - 70, Albufeira - 40,
Sagres - 50, Lagos - 20, Portim/Praia da Rocha - 5, Spain (Ayamonte) - 120,
Seville - 270.
To reach the Alvor complex from the Faro International Airport one can take
the train in Faro to Portim and then a taxi to the hotel but we really do not
recommend this alternative, nor the many bus routes. Participants are advised
to take a taxi. A one-way fare costs about PTE 8.000$00.
Our proposal is, however, a car rental. Starting from PTE 15.000$00 a week
(yes, about the price of a round trip Faro-Alvor by taxi !), attendees can
rent a good new car, with unlimited mileage, insurance and taxes (only
adding PTE 300$00 a day for personal insurance if desired). We believe this will
be the best for all, especially if the car is shared, with the obvious
advantage of having transportation all the time. Interested participants
should contact the rent-a-car company indicated below, mentioning the
reservation code "COMPUGRAPHICS", in order to benefit from the conference
special rates. Please note that you can take or leave the car in several
cities, and at the airports of Lisbon, Faro and Oporto. Rates for less or more

TOURS AND SPORTS

* Tours will be announced in due course and will be paid locally.
* Besides sun and fun, Alvor and Algarve offer a wide variety of sports and
leisure. The Hotel complex itself has 7 tennis courts, putting green,
volleyball, table tennis and snooker. Nearby one can find horseback riding,
bowling, sailing, windsurfing, diving, fishing, jetski, paragliding, golf,
boat and aeroplane sightseeing. Some of these are seasonal and may depend on
weather conditions. They are handled by the hotel. Sample rates are indicated
below.

Tennis courts PTE 950$00 per hour/court

GENERAL CONDITIONS

* Payments are made directly to the conference organization (except car rental
and sports).
* Hotel reservations will be made on a first come, first served basis. A
two-night advance should accompany all reservation requests and must be
received until October 29. The remaining nights should be paid in full at
the time of arrival. Reservations not complying with these requirements may
not be guaranteed. Reservation changes after confirmation may not be
possible.
* Extensions will also be handled by the Conference Organization. Attendees
should therefore make the proper arrangements with it. Rates may be a
little bit higher.
* Wheelchairs, vegetarian food, baby-sitting, menu and seats for children, can
be provided on request.
* Cancellation Terms :
until two weeks before arrival a PTE 2.000$00 service fee per person will
be charged.
after 2 weeks before arrival only half of the total advance will be returned.
after 1 week before arrival there will be no reimbursement.
