A NEW DESIGN INSTITUTION IN CHINA
A new design instituion, Contemporary Industrial Design Institution
was founded in Zhejiang University, Hangzhou (near Shanghai), China,
in 1990. The major actitives of this Institution include: design
education, methods study, development of computer-aided design
systems and industrial and institutional design projects.
This institution has strong background in CAD and Artificial
Intelligence research. For example, the computer-aided fashion
design, AI-based graphical creation system, computer generated
giant wall pictures and figurative thinking study.
