discussion seems to have turned to design theory.
I am the editor of a journal called Languages of Design. It is dedicated
to publishing formalisms for design synthesis wether these designs are
words, images or sounds. The journal has a strong semiotic bent to it.
The goal of the journal is to investigate cureent and past formal methods
that have been applied to the creation of objects, independent of their
subject. So t8ere is obviously many dilemmas and contradictions that are
the subject of debate in the journal.
