Robie House is owned by the University of Chicago, and operated as a
reception site and historical home by them.
Robie House is undergoing a restoration and maintenance study intended to
document the structure and its designers. Wright did most preliminary
design, but was out of the USA when much of the detailed design and
construction took place. Richard Bumstead, AIA, is the the University
