Mr. Blasko
I am a research associate at Louisiana State University, where I did
my master's in architecture.
We are an Intergraph Education center, and we use Intergraph
Microstation, MGE and Modelview. I have used modelview for two projects.
I wonder if you have used Microstation 5.0.
With Microstation 5.0, there is a CD called Synergy provided, which has
several third party software on it. One of these is Spotlight, which is
a ray tracer. I guess you need a license to really use it (which we have)
but you can try it anyway. (It creates a band across the image if used
without a license).
I find Spotlight to be a excellent software, and with Microstation 5.0's new
capacities, Modelview may not be as necessary as it once was. Microstation,
alongwith a photoediting software (like Aldus photostyler) does the job
of modelview farely well.
