On 21 April, I received information on the Town Planning Conf.to be held
at Megaride -- May 29. The promotional information was brief and basic.
I wrote to request further details -- all aspects, from closing dates
for submissions, to costs, accommodation charges and locations, etc.
Since I have not received further information, I am writing again to
ask for fuller details, including on:
a) The Megaride Charter 1994
b) its individuals and institutions
c) The Basic Principles of the City of Peace and Science
of the 21st Century.
d) your teleconferencing and broadcast TV arrangements.
I have helped link other conferences to satellite downlinks and would like
information on the particular factors you will be accessing -- with the view
to consulting here and in British Columbia, Canada, to see if it would be
feasible to downlink your programs.
I attended a "City of the 21st Century Conference" in 1988 at the
Arizona State University -- College of Architecture, and wonder if
you also attended that event, and further, if you are in contac t
with the convenors of that event, or with the World Future Society
in Maryland, USA.
I co-own the [email protected], and invite you to use this list
to develop ongoing discussion on the theme of the City of the 21st
Century -- it is a topic worthy of considerable attention.
