I have been a collector of paper models called card models in the UK for
some 35 years
and would like to hear from people who might be interested.

My areas of interest are:
1.Micromodels - were published in England from about 1940-1955. These
were printed
on 3x5 cards. The scale varied but the RR models were all Z-scale. I
will be glad to write
up history and post a list of models available. If there is enough
interest I would be glad
to scan one of these models and send it to AOL or Cserve in the hopes that
some one who
knows how to convert for transmission to internet would take it from
there. Models cover
castles, historical buildings, RR engines , RR buildings, ships and boats.
about 100 models.
2. Architectural models-am always interested in trading or buying subjects
I do not have.
Many paper models are created for the local tourist trade such as San
Simeon in CA and
only are available locally.
3. The history of paper models. Would particularly like someone who can
translate from
German Sources. I have articles from toy magazines and books. Also have
a series of
articles from a British Publication Scale Modeler published around 1970.
4. Foreign models from countries not now represented in my collection. I
prefer
Architecture Subjects but will collect any model if it is from a country
not now in my
collection.

Hope there is some interest in this subject as I am looking forward to
exchanging
information.
