De Stijl, Theosophy

I'm glad someone brought up Theosophy. Its certainly the central idea
which stimulated most of the memorable art/architecture of the beginning
of this century. It is almost never discussed in art/design/architecture
schools, but surely had an effect on the "New Art" in all of its guises -
De Stijl, Art Neuveau, Jugenstijl, Russian Formalism, what ever you want to
call Wright & Saarinen, Green&Green, Maybeck, and even at the extremes
the Fascist architecture of the Third Riech.

Its realy strange.. Theosophy seems to persist as a sort of strange ciult
in England, and as a medical treatment in Holland. Does anyone know of its
existance in the US. Are there any Steiner followers here? What do they do?
