The schools could raise admission standards, but they would be reducing their
revenues (except that most arch. schools are running at full capacity already
, so to run at less than capacity would be inefficient). Or the schools
could prepare the students for the alternate career they may well wind up
joining.
But ultimately, the responsibility for choosing lies with the student. They
should know beforehand that traditional practice may not happen for them
before electing to study architecture.
