Mark,

Princeton Testing Laboratory reported that the patina is
similar to generic crud like that found in Sweets for coatings
to fake age on restored historic buildings, specifically:

Sneeze detritus
Decayed comestibles
Digital oils, petroleums and lubes
Dried exhalations and coughed up fibrous lung tissue and
phlegmatic excrescences
Orifice jams and poultices
Fragments of skin, hair and nails (bits of disgusting matter on
the nails)
Electromagnetic attractees
Mites and infectious germs (all alive)
Tiny killer asteroids (those that lacked momentum to pass
completely through our building and us)

Some findings of the report were blacked out. The lab
technician handwrote that the material reminds her of the Exxon
Valdez muck and probably can never be dissolved.

What's that on your box?

John
