Re: Design Automation?

Peter Eisenman lectures on the idea of computer generated design of form.
One might question whether architectural forms are actually computer
generated or if they are like they were computer generated. That is, is
the computer generating the form, is the computer representing the form
that the designer intends to be generated, or is the designer developing a
form with a complexity that implies that it was generated by the computer?

While one ponders these vairables, one might also consider the work of
Frank Gehry which involves the computer not only in generating the forms
but also, supposedly, in making them.
