Beyond Fast Forward, sponsored in part by 911 media arts center and the
Northwest Cyberartists will take place on October 21-23 1994. Various
digital media installations will be on display at the Seattle Center
during this time. There will also be an opportunity for remote
participation in the event via ArtLab's networked "telepainting". The
appropriate software (Macintosh only) is available via ftp from several
sites including eskimo.com (cyberartists/incoming) and zaphod.ee.pitt.edu
(pub). You can partipate using SLIP (TCP version of software) or
Interactive (serial version of software) accounts on the internet. The
telepainting will be "live" from 11am to 6pm Seattle time. There will be
artists and kids participating from schools and other facilities across the
country. There will also be a "roving artist" connected via cellular modem.
Join us!
Use Homer (an IRC client) to join the "artlab" channel. Then launch
HomerPaint and create a new document called "artlab". Thats all there is to
it!
