CALL FOR PAPERS
Testing Ground: Doctoral Symposium in Architectural History, Theory
and Criticism
Open to doctoral students in Architecture, Urban Planning, Landscape
Architecture, and related fields.
Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts, February 17, 18, 1995.

Over the past two decades, the discipline of architecture has rested
on shifting ground. We conceive of this forum as a place to map out
and challenge present disciplinary parameters and gain some sense of
our positions within the discipline. This is an opportunity for
doctoral students to take the most speculative elements of their
research that have remained unexplored due to academic constraints of
legitimacy, fit, appropriateness, or disiplinary boundaries and present
these to colleagues interested in testing the ground of architectural
history, theory and criticism.
Those wishing to submit papers should send on a separate sheet of paper
their full name, institutional affiliation, address and telephone and a
300 word abstract or a ten page paper with abstract for consideration
before December 1, 1994. Authors of accepted papers will be notified by
January 15, 1995.
