POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
DRURY COLLEGE, Hammons School of Architecture is inviting applications
for two full-time faculty positions beginning fall 1995. The Hammons
School of Architecture is an accredited five-year professional program.
Established in 1984, the school of architecture is noted for
integrating a professional core with a liberal arts curriculum.
Visiting Position
Scholar/Professional
This appointment will bring in selected visiting faculty to teach
architectural design and architectural theory. Candidates should be
able to demonstrate a commitment to teaching and to critical practice
and/or to scholarly inquiry through active engagement in research,
publications, exhibitions, and design; and should possess a professional
degree in architecture or a terminal degree in a related field.
Appointments will be considered at all levels from instructor to full
professor. The length of these appointments may vary.
Tenure Track Position
Design
Candidates should have a record of teaching architectural design studio
and have expertise in one of the following areas, but not limited to:
landscape design, urban design, architectural theory, architectural history,
interior design, or construction technology. Each candidate should have
a terminal degree in their area of expertise, teaching experience, and a
record of scholarly and professional work. Professional registration is
desirable.
Nominations and applications for both positions will be accepted until
appointments are made. Screening will begin February 1, 1995.
Candidates are asked to submit: a current curriculum vitae; names,
addresses and phone numbers of at least three academic and professional
references; a portfolio with examples of professional and academic work;
and a letter of interest describing their more recent academic and
professional accomplishments, experience, and educational philosophy.
Rank and salary will be commensurate with experience.
