I would just like to add one more thing to this discussion. I am currently
a student in architecture. At my school we don't start in on the computer
until our third of school. this way we, the students can sketch and still
draw.
the university here does not feel that laptops are the best tools for design
studio. They think that the laptop is to slow in its' refresh rate for the
screen and there are only so many colors that you can get with a laptop.
Not to mention that they are very expensive to the student and they out date
them selves in a matter of a half a year. therefore my school feels that it
is better, wiser choice to go with the desktop. It has better video
capabilities than any laptop could ever have.
