it's interesting how long it takes 'mainstream' museums to do these
shows. the little art museum in asheville, nc, mounted a wonderful
albers show several years ago. and the knoxville museum did an exhibit
of eva zeisel this year that was clearly better than what appeared in
new york. i believe that when curators get their new york jobs, they
stop thinking.
