The 3G towers are popping up all over Sweden because their telecommunication laws are streamlined in their efficiently run bureacratic system in Sweden.

There's been a lot of discussion in Sweden because of the relay
stations they're building for 3G mobile technology - I think Europe is more
"advanced" than the US in this. Some researchers have issued warnings, and
parents groups have campaigned against construction, particularly near
schools and residential areas. But so far the government says there's
nothing to be concerned about. There's a lot of money involved, of course.
