wow, built next to grain elevators?

yup. i believe they burned down and so are empty ruins
which then a local architect built a museum (mill museum)
inside of (connected with General Mills or Pillsbury or
both, i think). this is the site of the beginning of the
city, with the st. anthony falls as a powerstation for
the street grid that followed.

here are images of a few mills across the river...
my favorite is an all brick mill, it is stunning...
