Thanks Brian, for letting us know about these buildings. It's great even
just seeing them in pictures, and it's very sad that they will soon be
demolished. Despite the fact that this group will most likely not be saved,
you still have the opportunity to do some preservation, ie, take lots of
images of the complex before and while it goes. Sometimes that's all you
really can do (and even that isn't done enough). I'm reminded of HABS
(Historic American Building Survey) and how they record (via photographs
and/or measured drawings) historic and/or important American structures
(sometimes right before they disappear). This Pillsbury (is it?) behemoth
should at least not be completely forgotten.
[I was thinking, given lots of images from all around the complex, and the
new satellite/aerial images, it might not be so difficult (for me) to
construct a fairly decent 3D CAD model of the gigantic geometric place.]
