Re: [design] preface

it is one building in a huge complex of buildings,
so has one plot of the master plan (libeskind).
http://www.renewnyc.com/plan_des_dev/wtc_site/new_design_plans/ Freedom_Tower/default.asp

the skyscraper, its just incredible imo. if this
was the realm of silverstein and the rest could be
reconsidered/reconfigured, it could work great.
yet libeskind's plan stands in the way, as does
the developers dividing up the plots as it is.
they have no relation to one another. yet this
skyscraper as a thing-in-itself, it is stunning.
i don't think there could be a better design,
for a skyscraper. for this site and time.
yet the master plan is an abomination, and
must be scrapped as with the lame memorial.
if there must be a skyscraper, it does not
mean the whole site has to go to hell because
of it. freeing up the site plan would save it.

is this different than the libeskind design?
