[design] WTC site (elevations)

this is sketch i did before looking more closely
at the site layout, just imaging the idea and was
not going to present these. though why not. the
compression the last one should have stayed the
same but for some reason expanded, those files
should have together been under 100k. this one
is being sent that is 64k so if it expands not
sure what is going on. in any case...

today the WTC siteplan is flat, blank, sterile.
if adding a 3rd dimension (and time, too) then
there could be a topography of a civic space,
a park that is sculpted and underneath which
is held up by concrete, space frames, etc.
light could enter the large volume in multiple
ways, clerestory, etc though some facadal street
fronts are added just for that view of things.
if you have image viewer, what this is is a
site plan of the WTC plot where the memorial
now resides (two voids, that's all). the 'plan'
is the center drawing below. if you were to be
looking at the plan from one side of the site,
that is the image that is found on that side
of the plan. for instance, the lowest drawing
below the site plan is looking at the entire
side of the WTC memorial site from where the
freedom tower is supposedly going to be built.
if you use an image view to rotate the image,
you can see what each side of the WTC Memorial
site could look like, vs. a giant blank plaza.

the purpose of this was to show how dynamic and
acropolis-like such an approach could be, both
street- and 'in building' (all around the site).
how inside/outside merge, landscape/sculpture/
machinery (parking garages, ramp, etc.). fwiw.
site plan is not accurate, its only a sketch
with digital watercolors adding for clarity.
