more on Lovitt

Having not read all 1,000 pages of Lovitt's work yet I'm afraid I'm in no
position to discourse on either its content or its quality, though from
what I have looked at it seems a serious and thoughtful effort. The
layout of the table of contents suggests that Lovitt feels the need to
cover most of Hiedegger's important sign posts on his way to discussing
technology, so there are chapters on The Bing of What-is, Man, Language,
Ereignis, The Thing, Technology, Science, Philosophy, Techne, Withdrawal,
The Danger, The Turning, preparatory thinking, the dictates of Being, and
the saving role of art, there is then a 75 page critical epilogue that
take2s issue with various of Heidegger's positions and claims.

You might also check the dissertation abstracts as there have been many
studies of Heidegger and technology, mine included.
