Re: The question of Guilt revisited.

This is not about Heidegger's philosophy, this is an attempt to respond to
your message about Heidegger and Nazism. ANd I will respond from my
experience of a certain time, not concerning my engagement with Heidegger.
The question is not about victors who write history, nor is the question
about history at all, but, I believe, much simpler than that - about choices
one makes. Not between good and bad, just and unjust, but, are you willing to
harm your neighbour who is not Serb in Serbia (your mentor who is a Jew, your
colleges who are Jewish)?
In Yugoslavia in 1989 and before it was clear to anybody who had any interest
in seeing, what Milosevic, Tudjaman, and other national(ist) leaders will
bring. I cannot imagine that in the 30s the same was not true in Germany with
Hitler, or perhaps, I my own knowledge rests on the mistake Heidegger and
some other Germans made (I don't believe that only because eyes of my
neighbour tought me what I know about nationalism).
Again, this is not in reference to Heidegger's philosophy but to certain
additudes we have.
