NIETZSCHE SOCIETY -- CALL FOR PAPERS

Nietzsche and the Issue of the Political

Invited Speaker: Prof. Mark Warren, Georgetown University

The Program Committee of the Nietzsche Society invites papers for possible
presentation at our annual Meeting, October 10, 1996, held in conjunction
with the annual meeting of the Society for Phenomenology and Existential
Philosophy (SPEP) at Georgetown University in Washington, DC.

Papers (10-12 pages doublespaced, no more than 25-30 minutes reading
time) related to any topic or theme in Nietzsche studies, particularly
those addressing the idea of the political in Nietzsche -- from the issues
of liberalism and perfectionism to the postmodern labors of Dionysus,
including the genealogical foundations of morals and society along with
the question of epistemology or truth in Nietzsche (feminist and otherwise)
the ethical and the aesthetical life, usw., etc., -- should be submitted
no later than MARCH 30, 1996. No email submissions will be considered
(for reasons of blind review and what not).

NB: Papers submitted for presentation at the annual meeting will also
be considered for possible publication in the Nietzsche Society's new
journal, first issue forthcoming later this year: *New Nietzsche Studies*
