aletheia

Thanks tblan(?) for your "generous interpretation." As a relatively new
student to Heideggerian thought your generous reading and focus on "thinking"
enlivens my spirit. The phrase "wicked nazi" on this mailing list saddened
me. Nazism, yes, is wicked, but heidegger as a wicked man?? Why does his
biography play such an important role? I certainly don't want to invalidate
the lived experience of those persecuted by nazis in Germany then or any
political oppression alive today (against any isms) but/and I also find
myself giving a generous reading to Heidegger. That is my own query. And that
seems different from my work in studying Heideggerian philosophy. The focus
on thinking as Dasein and what is in the self-showing--the showing and
concealment--the opening to aletheia as thinking moves my spirit immensely...
I'm not saying this very well...Mostly, I just want to say "thanks tblan" and
I hope wickedness will not dominate this mailing list. Thanks for your
re-turn to "thinking."
