A friend mailed me the URL for a "Heidegger is still alive" web
page. Since its difficult to read because of the "art" on it,
I've included the text from the page in this post.

Mr. Heidegger, who many believe to have died in 1976,
is now thought, on the advice of reliable sources, to be
alive. Conventional wisdom has held that Mr. Heidegger committed
suicide in his bunker upon learning that Kathleen Battle had
been chosen to play his favorite part in the Berliner Opera's
production of Parsifal (1975). While this may have been due
cause for suicide, Mr. Heidegger is believed to have taken
the opportunity to fake his own death using a look-alike.
Mr. Heidegger was a member of the Nazi Party from 1933-1945,
holding card number 312589. He is rumored to use these numbers
when playing the lottery.
Mr. Heidegger has been seen wearing lederhosen on inappropriate
occasions, such as thesis defenses, cocktail parties between
Memorial Day and Labor Day, and traffic court dates.
Mr. Heidegger is known to make statements covering a wide range
of propriety, from interesting:
"Rather what is projected in the projection compels us
before what is possibly actual, i.e. the projection
binds us -- not to what is possible, nor to what is actual,
but to making-possible, i.e., to that which the possibly
actual in the projected possibility demands of the
possibility for itself in order to actualize itself."
To banalities about the "inner truth and greatness of National
Socialism," to utterly incoherent remarks about the beauty of the
hands of the F|hrer.
If you see Mr. Heidegger, do not attempt to apprehend him. He has
been known to ask unsuspecting persons pointed questions, such
as "Was ist das, die Philosophie?" If you feel that you would be
unprepared to answer such a question without significant
reflection, you should contact the appropriate authorities.
