New photograph of Heidegger with his little "sausage dog" [Daschund]
'Ereignis.'
As can be seen in the recently discovered picture, Ereignis was so small it
could be held in the open palm of the entertaining existentialist's hand.
Heidegger loved this dog and claimed it was the only dog in the world which
qualified as a "Dasein" (or more properly - "Daschein," or "Peeing There" in
this clever canine's case.)
