Perhaps this is where one could find an easy ally (for a
conter-arguement) in Sartre's farmula for being which is composed of
"Thetic" and "non-thetic" Being. Albeit sympathetic (dangerously so) to
Heidegger's take, it probobly addresses this problem more directly. I
understand that Heidegger chose to use the term "Dasien" to alleviate the
pressure philosophers have had to deal with when it comes to having to
draw the line over certain "classes" of Beings, such as those
pejoratively catalogued under the headings of "genus"and "species."
