care & Dasein

Doss:
"Why on earth should positing 'care' as the sttucture pf Dasein be
parallel to positing 'death' over 'love'? I can't see any conceivable
connection. Please enlighten me on this point."

No parallel. I am asking why
he privileges "care" over the traditional "cognition"
as the structure of human Being, and why "death" over
the traditional "love".
Isn't, for example, Cassirer's contemporaneous argument for
Man the "symbol-structure-maker" Being at least equally
coherent and cogent.
And I am suggesting that the answer lies in the
fact that the symbol structure, the circumambient mythos/ethos
of the West, failed rather definitively for H's historical time.
That the truth then of Existentialism is limited to the Dasein
of his (perhaps, our) time and place.
However, I don't really want to get away from the text. I know
H's argument for "care" must be there...and I have a Kantian mental
block or something...I just can't seem to dominate the language...
so I try a hermeneutical approach...Brecht's dictum, "Think crude!"
