FIRE coordinator had said on 20.09.03 at AMDA
conference was nearly done and Express Newsline had
reported on 31.10.03 had been sent to state
governments and would be unveiled for public comment
in a month. MCD Commissioner Rakesh Mehta was quoted
saying the document essentially looks at financial
reforms and infrastructure development and ?We will be
amending the building bylaws and also the manner in
which these bylaws are enforced?.
Today Express Newsline has reported that already MCD
is taking a re-look at building bylaws with help of
USAID. see
