(Translated text of) open letter that about two dozen
citizens from slums in south Delhi who went to Holambi
Kalan today have agreed to sign and talk about in
their settlements.
(The farmhouse party policy with which parity in
lawless anarchy is sought is wholly illegal. An
objection was sent yesterday. see:

NEED-TO-STUDY BASED POLICY OF NO DEMOLITIONS TILL
EXAMINATIONS AGAINST PAYMENT OF 'MISUSE FEE'
akin to need-to-party based farmhouse party policy
lately announced
OPEN LETTER
to MCD, GNCTD, DDA and MoUD
Holambi Kalan, New Delhi, 18 February 2004
As per news reports a policy to permit unauthorised
parties in unauthorised farmhouses against payment of
'misuse fee' of Rs.40000 was made on 13 February. Also
on 13 February, just days before school examinations,
in disregard of need-to-study, clearance of Yamuna
Pushta started with Gautam Puri. In Holambi Kalan,
where citizens from Gautam Puri have been sent,
facilities for school children in accordance with
assurances given to the Courts are not available.
Like the need-to-party based farmhouse party policy, a
need-to-study based policy of no demolition till
examination for a 'fee' is sought along with immediate
determination of 'fee' so the same can be raised
through a citizens' contributory fund for timely
payment to protect students' future from untimely
evictions in Yamuna Pushta and elsewhere.
Thanking you
Those supporting demand for policy and desirous of
contributing to citizens' fund for 'fee',
Gita Dewan Verma, Planner, 1356 D-I, Vasant Kunj, New
Delhi ? 110070
