The market accommodates over 150 licenced vendors at a
Tehbazaari fee of Rs 395 paid to the MCD every year.
In a meeting with Urban Development Minister Ajay
Maken in March after the SC order, the NGOs were asked
to formulate an action plan for other such hawking
zones in the Capital. Madhu Kishwar of Manushi says
the action plan has been submitted to the MCD but
there has been no action so far.
