The deadline before DMRC to extend Metro to Gurgaon is 2010 and it believes
it would be able to complete the work in time. "We expect the approvals soon

Shakuntala Jakhu, financial commissioner, Town and Country Planning, told
the Hindustan Times from Chandigarh that the delay was being caused because
the nod from several departments was awaited. "Since the Haryana government
has to give several tax exemptions to DMRC, various departments, such as
Revenue, Sales Tax and Excise, are releasing their respective approvals and
it is taking time,"
