New Delhi, October 04 The Delhi Metro is ready to do business on its platforms. For the first time, metro stations in the city is inviting companies to set up kiosks and advertise their wares

DMRC has to repay a loan of Rs 6,000 crore to the Japan Bank of International Cooperation (JBIC). The first payment ? made in two instalments of Rs 14 crore each ? was made this year. The Delhi Metro makes 30 per cent of its operational profit, Rs 18 to 19 lakh daily, from property development and advertising. ?The idea is to raise as much revenue as possible to pay off the loan to JBIC and to be self-sufficient,? Dayal said.
