extent.
Is there anyway to limit or stop it?

Also, who are the individuals and organizations inventing and building
these products?
*That* would be most interesting information!

Albert Speer, the late architect for Hitler, seems to be closely related
to this kind of immoral activity in connection to architecture. Do you
perceive continuing parallels in the teaching, research, and practice of
architecture?
