Re: Heidegger jokes

The best I can find for a joke actually written by Heidegger is the
following. It probably won't produce gales of laughter, but perhaps at
best a knowing snicker:
"if we understand it rightly, in any serious and
scientifically-minded 'philosophy of life' (this expression says
about as much as "the botany of plants") . . . (Being and Time,
H. 46).
On the philosophical hilarity scale, this ranks about equal with Hegel's
crack that Schelling's philosophy was "the night in which all cows are
black."
