RE[6]: ideology

the absence of the word production in ATP is puzzling. in all of my
posts on the virtual and actual in relation to becoming and a great
many of d&g's concepts i have been trying to emphasize that deleuze's
ontology is one of the creative or productive nature of Becoming itself.
production may not be discussed openly in ATP (or works like D&R) but
the ontology of the virtual and the actual, of the actualization of the
virtual past and the virtual potential of the future, is an ontology
of the creative production of Becoming. Difference in itself is produced,
by what?, by the actualization of unlimited and potential virtual energy.
the virtual is that which is incorporeal while the unfolding of the
virtual into the actual, actualization, is the production of matter, the
actual. in the terms of quantum physics, energy waves bifurcate and
produce matter. there is a lot of good stuff on this in WHAT IS PHILOSOPHY?.
look in the index under "Virtual."

it must appear to everyone that i am really going nuts on the virtual
and actual. but there are so many concepts in Deleuze's work that appeal
to virtuality that i do not think it can be overemphasized. the
outside, the beyond, the void, double causality, the incorporealw3
transformation as Event, the abstract machine, Time as Aion, content,
the abstract machine that produces the cutting edge of deterritorialization
of machinic assemblages, and DESIRE (i forgot, double articulation--
virtual then actual) all always refer to the virtual that is always
greater, and yet does not resemble and is therefore different from,
the actual. It is the infinite unfolding of virtual into the actual
that produces, that produces difference and repetition, that produces
sense... blah, blah, blah... etc.
