MULTIMEDIA POSITION

School of Media Arts and Design Multimedia Position

The School of Media Arts and Design is seeking qualified applicants for a
tenure-track assistant professor in multimedia design/production, effective
August 1994. Salary is commensurate with experience. Candidate must hold a
terminal degree in graphic design or in music, professional experience is
recommended. Knowledge in the operation of and technical support of Macintosh
computers is a must along with a variety of multimedia software programs; in
the case of music recording, professional experience with MIDI/electronic
music, audio engineering and production, acoustics, and audio/video
post-production is a must. The position requires applicant to advise students,
teach courses in his/her major area of expertise, be fully committed to
teaching, help develop new digital art/music curriculum, contribute to the
operation of the school, college and university. University teaching experience
is preferred.

The application will include: A letter of application, a current resume, and
the names of three references. If the application is in graphic design, include
20 slides of current work and 20 of students' work, compositions and
presentations. Deadline for application is April 25.

The school has 21 full-time and four part-time faculty teaching 440
undergraduate students in programs of print journalism, broadcast, visual
communication, graphic design, multimedia, corporate media, and music media.
