Announcement of Vacancy

Position Title: Assistant Professor preferred, all ranks considered --
Architecture/Environmental Design

General Description: A tenure track position including teaching,
research,and service in Architecture/Environmental Design. A commitment
to research, teaching, and advising undergraduate and graduate students
is essential. The successful applicant will have responsibility for
instruction in architectural design and related areas. The development
of technical cognates at the graduate level will be encouraged. BGSU is
an AA/EOE.

Applicant Qualifications:

1.Doctorate preferred, or Masters degree plus appropriate professional
experience and Professional Architectural registration.
2.Teaching experience in college, or university or significant practical
experience in architecture.
3.A strong background in architectural design.
4.Demonstrated interest in assessing recent technological developments or
other scholarly pursuits in design.
5.Preference will be given to candidates who have demonstrated ability to
teach the third and fourth year architectural design studio, site
planning, and theory and history of architecture.

Rank and Salary: Assistant Professor preferred, all ranks considered.
Salary is competitive. Salary and type of appointments are commensurate
with academic preparation and experience. Appointment is for nine months.
Summer teaching is encouraged.

Effective Date: August 1997.
