Multimedia Demonstrations

If anyone on the list has a completed multimedia demonstration they
would like to share publicly, your participation would be appreciated.
Interactive walk-thrus, fly-bys and project computer renders are
welcome. The demonstration period is limited to 90 minutes with the
public invited. Although the primary sponsor is Macromedia, the
software used to create the design does *not* have to be that maker.
Our purpose is to show to the public various ways multimedia can assist
in visualizing a project and educating.

best Meeting ever!

March Summary
*************

Tom Summerall from MediaLab dazzled us presenting demos and training
saving hours developing multimedia with their PhotoCaster & Alphamania
Xtras for Macromedia Director. It was an exceptional opportunity.
We saw just what time savings and quality enhancements result using
simple Xtras!

Steve Straub discussed 'Digital Branding', color publishing, web design
and offered unique QuickTime 2.5 demos, including interactive
development. Many talked with him privately to address Apple-related
concerns. Thanks for a great job, Steve!

Meeting theme was "Extreme3D & Beyond" demonstrating 3 dimensional
design techniques and we weren't left disappointed! Ron Scott and Rix
Kramlich of Macromedia provided wonderful demos of the product. Scott
unveiled Director 6.0 with demos and we realized that this product was a
completely downward-compatible, fully object-oriented new product, not
just an upgrade!

Pizza was served and we begun around 1PM and went to 3PM but many stayed
around until 5PM that Saturday discussing issues. Parking was free, as
always. at the door of the Jefferson Community College Downtown in
Louisville, Kentucky. Survey forms were completed and revealed a full
98% of attendees loved it!

We'll have well over 300 RSVP's for the April 26th meeting. If you plan
to attend, allow us to prepare for seating and food. Thanks to the 15
Jefferson Community College Student Volunteers that helped make the
premiere a rousing success!
