Eisenman has two essay I think would be useful. 1.) his analysis of Terragni (he promised a book at the time) and 2.) his La Maison Dom-Ino, both published in Oppositions. Both these essays were written under a Chomskian/Cartesian linguistic influence and they shed some light on the way he perceives buildings while making all those grandiose statements . . .
As regards architects making meaning, they will have to agree on as to what constitutes the stable units of meaning in architecture first. Just as linguists who have signs and 'eams, musicians have notes.
