yes, consumerism , per se , is absurd
I saw a few days ago a video on Salomon islanders killing delphins, to feed their traditional way of life.
for us a crime, just as for them we are killing cows also to feed (but more artificially) our families or pets....
( I never killed a cow, but they kill the delphins by hand)
(Coke, red lobsters or BigMac consumers would probably change their minds if they visited backstage, in details the food processing plants)
