back from a road trip to new york, where i was house-sitting in
westchester (while someone was house-sitting in my house in knoxville).
i was able to visit (and stereo-photograph) gehry's amazing thing at
bard college. heard some late (60s) shostakovich.
succumbed to purchasing the best-selling architecture 'book' - rem's
Content, a warholian stunt that's fine for perusal on the subway.
visited moma-queens. imo they could leave moma in queens
i also arranged to stay an extra day and march in the anti-bush protest
that made its way on august 29 up seventh avenue to madison square
garden. the nytimes reported 500,000+ people participated in this
six-hour event.
i'm attaching a panoramic view of one city block. might have to scroll
