Wilton Rodger asked: "Is ontology so divorced from history."
Yes "history" but No, not from historical unfolding. Get it??
Personally I don't bury the N word stuff. Just as I don't bury sexist
comments in Plato.
But what Heidegger or Plato offer me is not political philosophy but
essential thinking--an opening to the essence or the inner most possibility
in thinking.
(Ah-- but you say what about The Poletia (Republic), isn't that about
politics? No I don't think so, not the main--middle books, at least.)
To be honest I do ignore the posts on the Nazi stuff. As a begining student
of Heidegger, I learn so much more from the other queries.
Cheers
