I don't think the wind of the primeval leaves the "perfect" behind--and
each of these terms bears with it deep accretions, is that the word?, of
meaning and association. As Heid mentions in What Calls for Thinking, the
wind causes a kind of draft, as it withdraws, which draws writing,
whether as philosophy or poetry, into existence. Politics might be
something else, or another way of responding to the withdrawal.
